Image credits

Every photograph on this site is a freely licensed picture from Wikimedia Commons. Most are released into the public domain, and the rest carry a Creative Commons licence that allows reuse as long as the photographer is credited.

We choose pictures by subject rather than by brand: a measuring gauge, a wall of wooden lasts, a pair of leather shoes. Where a licence requires attribution, the list below is that attribution. If you took one of these photographs and would like the credit worded differently, tell us and we will change it.
